Hi, I’m Amber.
After 20 years of counselling homeless teens and their families, it was walking alongside my friend and his family as he prepared to pass away that began my path as an End Of Life Doula.
For him, going in peace meant having a ‘good death’. Knowing that there was someone there to have his back, look out for his wife and son, and tend to the details until the very end.
Because death doesn’t only affect the dying. A ‘good death’ for many is one that also brings peace to everyone left behind. And when death is an inevitable part of being alive, the way we die is important (for everyone involved).
Everyone deserves to die with peace. So whatever a ‘good death’ is to you, I’m here to help make it happen. We might not know what happens on the other side, but we can definitely make what happens on this side really count for something.
